If you run your own social media channels you will already know that getting a good response can be the equivalent of a mystical art. However, there are ways to improve the reach of your posts if you know what you are doing.
Your posts do not automatically reach everyone who follows your page. The number of people each post is seen by is known as the reach, and this reach is increased by the engagement it receives, such as comments, shares and likes. Facebook knows that every business wants to increase this reach and so they give you the option to boost the post.
Boosting is essentially turning your post into an advert, and can cost as little as a couple of pounds. It allows you to choose the type of people that the post is shown to as well as their age, professional and geographical location, so you can really hone in on your target market.
If you decide to boost then you need to choose your post carefully. Make sure it is well written and includes a good quality image or video. The image cannot have too many words in it, so make sure you say everything you need to in the post. It may seem obvious, but make sure the post includes a call to action such as "call now..." or "visit or website...". It's amazing how many posts forget to do this.
Think carefully about the content of your post too. You must remember that it will be seen by people who have never heard of your business (hopefully), so do not assume that the readers know what you do or where you are. Make your post full of information or include an offer to entice new clients. Using information or images about the treatments you offer can work really well, and Goddess images are great for this.
To boost your business, sometimes your business needs another kind of boost!
